I wanted to give a bit of information about the scooter to help out anyone who is interested or on the fence. I have owned my GX2 for around 2 months now and already have 96 miles on it. It is a blast to ride! Lots of fun and seems very well built. it is heavy though so be ready for that! This is not a scooter you want to be carrying up and down stairs or through awkward hallways. You can fold the stem and pick it up just fine, but it is not comfortable to hold for very long. The stem is not round as with many of gotrax's other scooters, which does not help this at all.
It is MUCH more powerful than any commuter scooters I have used, especially when it is in the high power mode. In that mode it almost has enough power to peel out the tires, almost. I weigh 190lbs though, so a lighter rider might be able to peel out! It also has enough power to tackle moderate hills with ease, you won't be climbing a mountain with it, but it is FAR more capable than a commuter scooter when it comes to hills. However, As other reviewers have stated, high power mode drains the battery pretty fast. You could still ride for a while, but if you are going full throttle a lot or dealing with some serious hills I would not expect to be able to ride for more than maybe an hour. however, in normal power mode this is better.
I tested the range while in the normal power mode, on a flat bike path, while riding at moderate speeds (keeping it under 20mph), and while trying to avoid accelerating too hard. I managed to get 28 miles out of the scooter from fully charged to when the last battery bar was blinking on the display. I may have been able to go a bit farther, but didn't want to push it more than that. It performed well the entire time, though It did lose some power when it was flashing, but it was still more powerful than my G4 at that point.
the brakes work very well, you can stop on a dime if you need to. I did have to adjust them to tighten the cables up a little since riding the first 90 miles, but that is normal break-in.
The stem and stem latch feel very solid, the display is helpful and decently bright, almost too bright at night! The deck is very comfortable, at least for the way i stand. Despite it being an inch shorter in length than my previous scooter it makes up for it by being wider. It also has that flared foot rest you can push your foot back against when accelerating, which adds some extra real estate. The rubber on the deck is also nice and thick and grippy.
One thing I'm unsure of is the supposed USB port. there is a rubber cover on the underside of the display that has the USB symbol on it, however, this cover seems to be rubber cemented in place. I have peeled it most of the way off and the square hole where the USB port is, if there actually is a port in there, is completely full of a rubber cement type rubber. My friend also owns a GX2 and his is the same. Its possible both were manufacturing mishaps, but if charging your phone from the scooter is a necessary feature for you I wouldn't count on the GX2 to do it.
Overall it is a solid and powerful scooter, especially for the price! I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal for what you get. It is a blast to ride! There are some things I would change, but overall I'm very happy I bought one!
So far i’ve been very satisfied with the GX2. It is incredible for its price, and looks really cool on my opinion. Good ride quality, suspension, tires, controls, lighting, and feels really powerful. I also took it off roading and it held up fine. For $1300 it’s speed, power, quality, looks, and range are almost unbeatable. It comes with cool lightbars on the side which look sick at night. Only complaints is that the handlebars can be a little low for some, lacks some features such as an app, and also doesn’t have some features such as hydraulic brakes and turn signals that many dual motor scooters have. It’s reliability is also yet to be seen as I haven’t had it for too long yet. Overall an amazing scooter.
Very Big, Heavy, but Very fast and strong acceleration. You really have to focus on a lot of things while riding. Easy to maneuver as well.
Well let’s just say I’m very happy. I own 3 e-scooters and all are from GoTrax. My first Ultra XR made me love them. Second was the apex le(fun). I then wanted more power , speed, and Mobility. I couldn’t have picked a better scooter. This thing flys! Goes up hill no problemo. GoTrax, thank you for making great scooters!

What a fun toy. I got it to 32-33mph on a flat surface and 35 with a slight decline (Helmet recommended). This thing is so cool. Ive always wanted a scooter since i saw the movie "like mike" as a kid and My kids got a razor scooters that goe 9mph which made me jealous and look around for one. I found a gx2 on marketplace for sale and had to snag it. I've driven it almost daily and it gets tons of attention (more attention than i like) I actually just had a guy honk at me and give me a thumbs up which prompted me to write this. its the perfect speed and range for 5ish mile commutes. My next scooter will be another gotrax for sure.
So it arrived in about 4 days i think. came packaged well. I've already had teh gotrax gx1 for over a year. absolutely loved it. decided to sell and upgrade to the gx2. So i pretty much knew what i was getting into. Very similar machines just a little more speed with the gx2. It came packaged perfect and was about 3/4 charged so i was able to use it right out of the box. just installed the handlebars and take off. Got right up to speed no issues. 35mph in boost mode. All the lights worked. I have not had a chance to do a range test yet but i will soon. I have since done some upgrades though like wider handlebars, grips, mirror, brake calipers, and a scooter bag and some stickers. I love it and hope it lasts a long time!
What an impressive e-scooter. I received my GX2 back in the winter and have been enjoying it ever since. It works amazingly well off the road on pretty much any terrain. I have taken it on grass, rocky gravel and even mud. The GX2 always keeps its grip on challenging roads and its frame is very stable. Its also really fast on paved roads and has plenty of power thanks to its dual motors. I really like that its wheels have full fender coverage so you don't get splashed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this scooter for anybody looking for an amazing off-road experience.
Scooter is well built and stylish. Plenty enough speed and distance for what I will use it for. Highly recommend!!
i was looking for something that was worth it and would last. Wow! The frame is a beast and it is such a powerful scooter. Rides so smooth. Very sturdy. The ride is incredible. Smooth and comfortable ride. This is not your typical scooter. It has all the extras you need. Read the manual first, though so you learn about cruise control etc. worth your investment!!!
I love the scooter! Tris id my second scooter, First one is a Segway $250 scooter. It started at 12mph Max then i went from 245lbs to 265lbs (which is already passed the 225lbs max weight limit on the scooter.) It rides at 10mph for me. SMH.
To go from this previous experience to max speed of 33MPH is awesome and max weight 310lbs? I love this scooter so far, I just don’t like that in order to access both motors to get the 35mph which is just 33MPh you have to press on the scooter icon and once both wheels on the screen are blinking that’s when you have power to both motors. I found out 2 days later after thinking man this scooter ain’t it, not knowing I was just using one motor.
A full suspension is
This scooter is a major head turner. Be prepared to have people trying to stop you and ask where you got this thing. This is by far the coolest thing I’ve ever owned. Extremely powerful too!!!
Gx2 is my first e-scooter, did lots of homework comparing from many other brands prior. I use mainly within the neighborhood for enjoyment, so i dont have much mileage and experience compared to city users.
material used seems to be very high quality, no wobble. No problem going up hill at all, lots of torque coming from dual motors, i find myself 15mph is fast enough to play around, maybe when i get better can test out 35mph😆
Love how it has dual disc brakes, which i prefer over electrionic brake.
One thing i wish gx2 has, is the ability to remove battery like gx-one with ease, batteries are not suppose to store in temperature fluctuated areas such as garage where its high on heat or chilling cold, its suppose to store at room temperature areas to prolong battery health, since gx2 doesnt have the ability to remove battery with ease so i store it indoor, which is fine with me but wish it has that option.
overall im pleased with gx2, has everything that i need, now hoping it lasts for years to come. 10/10
This scooter is truly the most fun and efficient thing. I bought this because I live in a major city and I couldn’t bring my car with. So I bought this after hearing reviews about many aspects that this scooter does better than other brands. After riding 60 miles so far I have to say it’s perfect. The suspension is great my finger doesn’t get sore from the go button. The lights are awesome. The only thing that sucks is my brakes are super squeaky when I brake but I’ve learned to deal with it. It is very heavy so you can’t carry it around so I just walk with it in stores and such. Another thing that sucks is there is no horn there’s just a bell, which isn’t the worst but a horn would have been nice. This scooter is amazing fast, fun and has saved me so much time and money from either taking Lyfts Uber or walking. I highly recommend this. Also maybe in the future gotrax can add a reverse feature. Since it’s so heavy it would be nice to be able to reverse. That’s just a suggestion. I Highly recommend this scooter.
It’s a great scooter, but the manual could go into more detail, about setting up the suspension, brake pads, etc.
Just hit the 40 mile mark and it's just what I was looking for!! Make sure you wear proper gear because this thing is definately a beast!! I'm using it for daily travel and to take my son with me on trips to the park and it fits both of us on it safely!!

Seems quality of build is high. Quite impressed and it’s a lot of fun. Great power. Super easy to assemble. Practically together in the box.
This is my first scooter. I come from a mountain bike/dirt bike background so this was new territory for me. Setup was unbelievably easy. Within 10 minutes of opening you can be riding. Tons of fun. Feels solid. Seems like a great scooter for the price. Will definitely be recommending this scooter to my friends.

For the price this is my #1 favorite gotrax product! Very strong and fast ride but also easy to control. The scooter itself is built extremely well with very little flaws. My main problem is that I wish that gotrax would have installed some sort of metal light bracket instead of the cheap plastic one that broke within the first 10 minutes of having the scooter. Now I’m stuck having to duck tape the light up in order to drive/steer. I can no longer drive anytime after sundown due to the light problem, making me have to go back to my roots and walk everywhere (exact reason I bought the scooter was because I was walking miles to and from everywhere). I use this scooter as my daily driver, to and from work every day, it has held up for the last 3 months. I originally had a gotrax apex scooter that snapped in half on me after daily driving it for only 2 months :( still bummed that customer service was never able to get back to me and left me with a broken scooter. I really hope that gotrax can reach out and help me with my gx2’s light mount as I am currently night rideless.
