Folding the Handlebars
The handlebars are the most common foldable feature on GOTRAX electric bikes, and their folding process is fairly simple.
- Open the handlebar folding clamp. To do so, you will need to push in the safety buckle on the side of the clamp and pull the clamp outwards at the same time.
- The handlebars and stem should now be foldable. Move the handlebars downward; they should hang adjacent to the frame of the bike.
Folding the Pedals
A number of folding electric bikes come with folding pedals for the most compact ride possible. To fold the pedals, you’ll need to follow these steps.
- Press the pedals inward, toward the frame of the bike.
- At the same time, lift the pedal upward.
Folding the Frame
The most convenient part of a fully folding e-bike is the ability to fold their frames in half. These compact and portable rides are easy to fold and unfold, and they’re a breeze to store and carry in their folded forms. To fold almost any GOTRAX folding e-bike, including the EBE1, EBE4, F1, F2, F3, or F5, follow the steps below:
- Make sure the crankset is adjusted to a 9 o’clock position.
- Open the frame folding clamp by pushing in the safety buckle and pulling the clamp outward at the same time.
- The frame should now be foldable. Fold the frame so that the front and rear wheels are directly next to one another.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully fold your GOTRAX folding e-bike. The exact details of each step may vary slightly depending on the model of your bike, so if you’re having issues, be sure to consult your user manual for the instructions specific to your bike.
