I am very happy with this scooter’s performance. I use this for my daily commute which is about 10 miles both ways. Even at night with the lights on it takes me 10 miles. I have used small scooters before and they didn’t have this much range. When I plug in the scooter and check after 3-4 hours it is fully charged. And of course, it is more stable on bumpy/ cracked roads. Has a better grip. I haven’t experienced slipping on wet roads so far. It does around 18 mph maximum speed for me. I am 110 pounds. It’s easily foldable but it is a bit heavier. I have heard that brakes are unreliable in scooters but I haven’t faced that issue with my product. The brakes work well even when I’m going downhill at full speed.
I love this thing! Great for getting to work! It's fun to ride. Shipping was fast and arrived in great condition. Will probably be buying an e bike from this company next summer
I got mine for cheaper, but I would definitely recommend it if you need a way to get to school or work and it’s not too far especially for the winter time when it’s cold or when it’s raining, it does help get to your place quicker. The max range at 15 mph I got was 12 miles of range And doing 18mph I got at least 9 miles.
The Gotrax G3 Plus is a solid entry-level electric scooter designed for budget-conscious commuters who want performance, portability, and comfort without spending a fortune. With a 300W front-wheel brushless motor, a top speed of up to 18 mph, and 10-inch pneumatic tires, it hits a sweet spot for urban riders looking for a practical solution for short daily commutes. The scooter features a 36V 6.0Ah battery (216Wh), promising a range of up to 18 miles, although real-world performance may fall closer to 7–10 miles depending on rider weight, terrain, temperature, and average speed. Some users even report ranges as low as 4–5 miles after extended storage or several months of use, which suggests battery degradation can be a concern over time. That said, when the battery is new and well-maintained, most casual riders find the range suitable for errands, campus travel, or last-mile commuting. Ride quality is one of the G3 Plus's stronger points. The 10-inch air-filled tires absorb most common road vibrations well, making it more comfortable on rough pavement compared to solid-tire scooters in the same price category. Handling is smooth and stable, especially at speeds under 15 mph. The braking system combines an electronic front brake and a mechanical rear disc brake, offering safe stopping power without being too jerky. While it's not meant for off-roading or steep hills, it performs reliably on gentle inclines and standard bike lanes. In terms of design, the G3 Plus offers practical commuter features. The aluminum alloy frame feels solid, and the folding mechanism is simple and secure, making it easy to collapse and carry onto public transit or into an apartment. At 34.5 pounds, it’s not the lightest option, but still portable for short lifts. The LED display shows speed, battery level, and riding mode clearly in daylight. A front-facing LED headlight is included, although it’s best supplemented with additional lights if you ride in dark areas. There’s no IP water-resistance rating, so riders should avoid wet or rainy conditions, which may be a drawback for year-round commuters.
When it comes to affordability, the G3 Plus stands out. Frequently priced under $350 during sales, it offers a competitive mix of speed, comfort, and safety. Compared to competitors like the Segway Ninebot F25E, TurboAnt M10 Lite, or the NIU KQi2 Pro, the G3 Plus is often cheaper and still delivers comparable ride quality and top speed. However, it lacks the polish and extra features found in some of those alternatives—like app connectivity, better water resistance, or larger batteries. If you’re looking for a premium-feeling scooter, you may want to explore options in the $500–$600 range. But for short commutes and students on a budget, the G3 Plus is difficult to beat.
Some users on forums and Reddit report issues with long-term battery performance, particularly after 6–12 months of use. One key factor is battery maintenance: lithium-ion packs like the one in the G3 Plus should not be left fully discharged for long periods. Storing the scooter with a partially charged battery (40–70%) in a cool, dry place can significantly extend battery life. Riders who follow these guidelines generally report better longevity. Gotrax sells replacement parts like motors, consoles, brakes, and tires directly through their website, which is a plus for users willing to perform light maintenance. Customer support is considered decent, and the included one-year warranty (with optional extension) adds peace of mind. Compared to other models in the Gotrax lineup, the G3 Plus sits between the entry-level Rival and more advanced models like the G4 or G3 Max. The G3 Max, for example, offers nearly double the range and a stronger motor, but at a higher price. The G4 adds digital locking, an upgraded display, and a beefier build, making it a better choice for longer, more frequent commuting. However, these models are also heavier and less portable. Despite its limitations, the Gotrax G3 Plus is a dependable choice for first-time electric scooter buyers and light-duty commuters. Its smooth ride, decent speed, and thoughtful features make it one of the better budget scooters on the market. It’s ideal for rides under 10 miles round-trip, and with proper battery care, can remain a reliable travel companion for well over a year. If you expect long rides, steep hills, or use in unpredictable weather, you’ll want to consider more advanced models or scooters with larger battery packs and water resistance. In summary, the Gotrax G3 Plus delivers excellent value at its price point. It offers the key features most casual riders want—good speed, comfort, safety, and portability—without the bells and whistles that drive up the cost. As long as your expectations align with what the scooter was designed for—short, comfortable, everyday commuting—the G3 Plus is more than up to the task. Treat it right, and it will get you where you need to go safely and smoothly.

Point 1/1 - Enough foot space and good kickstand
Point 1/1 - one-step folding and controls
Point 0/1 - Range and battery
For the range, Gotrax said it goes up to 18 miles. Its estimated miles really is 9.8. Other things about the scooter is good.
I think Gotrax needs to fix this range issue for future buyers.
To some it will also feel like a scam, but not to me. 4 stars.

The scooter was delivered in a beat up box that was gaping open on all sides. It was clear they had tried to tape the box in places and failed. There was a sticker on the box that said returns with a claim # that they tried to cover up with a blank white sticker (still visible). Upon calling gotrax and explaining the situation and telling them I would like an exchange for a new scooter (that wasnt returned or used) because that is what I ordered! They refuse to send me a new one or pay shipping to return this one. The manager Alana was rude and unprofessional. No apologies or solutions were offered. Do not buy from this company. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!! They do not care about the customer and if something goes wrong with their products they will not be making it right. I called back the bext day because my email still was not answered and a manager refused to speak with me. Buy from another brand who cares!!
It was a little scratched up with a few paint chips but besides that is was perfect.

My order was in preparing shipment for 8 days and the service is terrible. Do not waste your time

It’s a good scooter wish it had air less tires
The G3 Plus Electric scooters are high quality which was my primary concern about purchasing the product but the quality is great. Easy to setup, large enough to ride without feeling awkward. Great quality for the price.
Motor issues within 30 mins of riding it
Great Scooter
My son lives his scooter, it was the perfect birthday gift and i definitely recommend.
G3 Plus Electric Scooter
This scooter is perfect! It was easy to put together and is extremely sturdy! My teenager takes it everywhere! The battery lasts long and it has great stamina! I couldn't ask for a better scooter!
👍
I bought mine to use to commute to and from work. I’ve got to say I enjoy it very much. Fast enough to get where you’re going and enough battery to get you there.
Great experience my son has never been so happy with his new scooter
G3 Plus Electric Scooter
It was a great 13th birthday gift for my granddaughter. She loves it!
It's a Christmas present not used yet but it seems heavy duty
G3 Plus Electric Scooter
Our son loves the ease of use, the length of the battery and its speed; he rides daily around 5-6 miles. The scooter is plug/play out of the box. On mild hills, it is still able to climb (albeit slowly), but we knew that going in. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. It is fast enough to warrant all precautions - helmet, wrist/elbow/knee pads, road conditions, etc.
