Interview with Actor Brandon Curry - GOTRAX

The GOTRAX Team recently supplied Actor Brandon Curry with a GXL Version 2 Electric Scooter in order to make his trips to and from the set a breeze! Check out what he has to say about his acting career and the GOTRAX GXL

Q: Can you start by telling us a little bit about where you’re from and where you live now?

A: I am originally from Charlotte North Carolina. I grew up in a little ranch house on a country highway. I am professional artist so I am always traveling. My main homebase is in New York City! I spend a lot of time in Los Angeles as well.

Q: What goes through your head when you first wake up in the morning?

A: I try my best to start each day with a moment of gratitude. It’s very easy to get swayed by the way the world works but there’s so much to be grateful for!

Q: How old were you when you first started acting?

A: I started to take acting very seriously at the age of 14. My mom found an audition for the children’s theater of Charlotte . She said I only had to audition for something once and if I didn’t like it I never do it again. But I got the job and I haven’t stopped!

A: Tell us one of your favorite moments in your Acting Career?

A: Having lunch with Ice T on the set of Law & Order SVU.

Q: Who are your heroes? Who do you look up to?

A: My mother is a really huge inspiration. She was very young when I was born and she has never stopped pursuing her dreams and nothing has gotten in the way of that. It is a really great role model for someone who wants to pursue art as a career.

Q: What inspires you?

A: I’m so inspired by all of the things that are around me. Whether it’s nature or other human beings the ability to create something from nothing and see it thrive is amazing and we all have that potential as human beings.

Q: Describe your daily commute?

A: When I’m in New York City my commute is fairly simple I am usually running across the park going from Westside to East side. If I am getting on the train to head to an audition or to an appointment I just walk to avenues get onto a train and I live right off of express train on the upper West side so it’s pretty easy. One thing that I’m thrilled about is the option to scoot around town and the ability to save some of my walking commute.

Q: How has your commute changed since getting a Gotrax scooter?

A: Right now I am on set of The Legend of Georgia McBride at Theatre squared in Fayetteville Arkansas. I can do everything on my scooter in a town like this. It is perfect.

Q: What are your favorite places to ride our scooters?

A: The main thing I love about the scooter is that I can save fuel economy from cars and really get to the places that are just too far to walk easier and more quickly.

Q: What do you use your (product) for?

A: I use the scooter on my daily commute I take it to and from rehearsal I take it to and from the shows and it makes everything a lot easier. I will be traveling to Africa this summer to film a feature called Protector of the Gods and I will be taking the scooter with me on set!

Q: What do you do for fun?

A: I love to swim.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about our (product)?

A: I like that it is very slick. The scooter is easy to handle. The set up is a breeze. It’s overall very user-friendly.

Q: What haven’t you accomplished that you aspire to do in your lifetime?

A: There’s so much that I aspire to! The most important thing is to be happy. I think we always get consumed with material things and someone else’s definition of success. I really hope that at the end of my life I feel happy.
