Jesus Lopez, a rising tennis star, making a name for himself in the city of Angels
Jesus is usually a very busy guy between his tennis career and living life. He spent a morning after riding his GOTRAX GXL V2 to training, giving GOTRAX a sneak peek into his life.
Q: Can you start by telling us a little bit about where you’re from and where you live now?
A: I am from Tucson, Arizona and have most recently moved to Los Angeles California in late 2018.
Q: What goes through your head when you first wake up in the morning?
A: My initial thoughts when I wake up are, to drink water to hydrate my day and to get myself food.
Q: How old were you when you first started playing tennis?
A: I began playing tennis competitively at 17.
Q: Tell us one of your favorite moments in your Tennis Career?
A: My highest accomplishment in my tennis career was winning against a top 200 player.
Q: Who are your heroes? Who do you look up to?
A: A compressed list of heroes would be, Neil negrasse Tyson, Diana Nyad, Andy Murray, My Mother.
Q: What inspires you?
A: Potential for growth inspires me. The ability to change and become more knowledgeable through mind, body, and spirit.
Q: Describe your daily commute?
A: I typically will leave my house and ride my scooter to the metro station nearest me to go for a 25 minute ride to Downtown Los Angeles then proceed to scooter to my place of work. I’ll commute back and following the metro I’ll ride to near tennis courts train and head home.
Q: How has your commute changed since getting a Gotrax scooter?
A: Prior to gotrax I would typically utilize my bike to get to the metro or if it was more convenient or too difficult to commute by bike I would drive.
Q: What are your favorite places to ride our scooters?
A: I enjoy riding in the neighborhood I live in, it’s calm and peaceful and not many cars to distrust driving. On top of this I allows favor my rides to the tennis courts.
Q: What do you use your (product) for?
A: I use it for commutes to work and the gym, tennis, grab food, a moment of clarity.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: Forms of fun can be time on the tennis court, my mind in a book, in nature in any form, eating, working out, anime, or stimulating conversation.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about our (product)?
A: The foldable aspect of the scooter allows me to slide the scooter under my seat on the metro and give my mind peace for a book or work. It also gives me the ability of a friend gives me a ride for any reason that I can place the scooter in the back and I couldn’t do that with my bike.
Q: What haven't you accomplished that you aspire to do in your lifetime?
A: Aspirations include: learning a third language, traversing a well known mountain, understand mathematics to the level of keeping a conversation with a scientist, write a short film, promote a kinder, happier, and more knowledgeable world.
