We’ve been scooting all over the place thanks to @ridegotrax . The GXL Version 2 rippers are DOPE! Big thanks to @bigpicturemedia for always going above and beyond just press for our band. Love and appreciate you both. P.s we’re a scooter gang now. Not a band. Please address us as such.
The 2019 tour features Neck Deep along with other huge names like Blink 182 and Lil' Wayne. During the tour the band has been using the GOTRAX GXL V2 Electric Scooter to get around the festival grounds. GOTRAX was able to get an exclusive interview on how tour life with the GXL has been!
Neck Deep Interview
Q: Can you start by telling us a little bit about where you all are from and where you live now?
A: Were all actually from different places in England and Wales. Ben’s hometown is Wrexham, Wales and has recently got his own place I think still near Wrexham but right on the border of England and Wales. West is from Broughton and is still there now just moved somewhere else into his own place. Dani is from Colwyn Bay and earlier this year moved into his own place I think about 10 minutes away from the bay. I’m from a small village called Saxilby which is right by Lincoln which is where I am now living. So no one has really gone far from where we grew up.
Q: What goes through your guy’s head when you first wake up in the morning?
A: Honestly it’s usually where is the closest bathroom! After that it’s where can you get coffee.
Q: Tell us one of your favorite moments in your Band’s Career?
A: I think when we played Brixton and Manchester on our last headline tour. They were our biggest headline U.K. shows we’ve played so far and it was just crazy to have gotten to that. Another favourite was getting the Go Trax scooters so we could get to toilets and coffee much quicker each morning.
Q: How old were you when you first started Neck Deep?
A: Ben and his brother Seb first started it in like 2011/2012 I think just in Seb’s bedroom. I think it initially just started with then writing music and putting it out with no real goal and it just quickly turned into something.
Q: Who are your heroes? Who do you look up to?
A: Musically Oasis, RHCP and John Mayer. Dwayne the rock Johnson is another hero just for his work ethic.
Q: Describe your daily commute?
A: My daily commute on tour varies depending on how far the bus is parked from the venue or backstage. Some days were a quick walk away but others maybe a 5, 10 minute walk which is perfect to be able to unfold the scooter and get there in 2.
Q: How has your commute changed since getting a Gotrax scooter?
A: t’s far more easier especially when it’s hot outside you get to that a/c much faster.
Q: What are your favorite places to ride our scooters?
A: We usually find a coffee spot in the city and scoot in the morning there.
Q: What do you use your (product) for?
A: Commuting, bezzing and jumps.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: When we’re not on our scooters we set up a cpu vs cpu tournament on super smash on the switch and everyone is randomly assigned a character and we usually bet $5 each
Q: What’s your favorite thing about our (product)?
A: They have a cruise mode and a full bez mode. Also that it comes in pink.
Q: What haven't you accomplished that you aspire to do in your lifetime?
A: Probably to headline an arena in the U.K. somewhere
