We recently sent a GXL V2 Electric Scooter to Jolene Gorning a Whole Health Expert living in Scottsdale Arizona. Jolene is not the typical GXL V2 commuter, but still has found many uses for the electric scooter.
My new GXL V2 electric scooter is perfect for me to run errands or go meet a friend for lunch. It’s a great alternative to driving (I fully support reducing carbon emissions!). Plus, some shopping areas are notorious for a lack of parking. I would actually avoid going to certain spots because I’d stress about finding a parking spot!! But now that I can just take the scooter, it’s easy to lock it up anywhere and there’s no parking problems to deal with!
GOTRAX Interviews Jolene Gorling
Can you tell us a little about where you are from?
I grew up on a cattle ranch in Canada, and have lived in Mexico and Egypt before moving to Scottsdale AZ, where I've lived for the past 8 years. I have a BSc in Geophysics, a Masters in Nutrition, and probably 100 certifications in almost anything you can imagine... I'm a lifetime student and LOVE learning new things!
Where do you live now and what do you do for work?
I'm a Scottsdale - based Whole Health Expert, a regular contributor on national TV shows and a best-selling author. I love helping others live their best life ever, with a focus on healthy indulgent living! I do this through filming TV segments, creating content for cool brands, and sharing exciting new experiences with my tribe!
Who are your heroes? Who do you look up to?
I look up to anyone who is making an effort to live in and enjoy the moment. People who are living their best life and following their dreams are very inspirational to me.
What are your favorite places to ride our scooter?
I love to ride to do errands, meet a friend for lunch, and especially take it to places where parking a car is tough!
What do you use your GXL V2 scooter for?
I like to know that I'm helping to reduce the carbon footprint that comes from so many people driving their cars everywhere
What else do you do for fun?
I love being outside in the sunshine! Hiking, jogging, outdoor yoga, lunch on a patio... these are all fun for me. And now I can add that riding my scooter is on my list of fun activities!
Tell us a favorite story from a ride on your scooter?
It's actually when my husband took the scooter for a ride around the neighborhood and he had a huge ear to ear grin on his face ... like a little boy with a new toy! Riding the scooter has a very playful vibe reminiscent of childhood!
