If your tire has gone flat, it’s important to know how to refill it so you can get back to riding as quickly as possible. Today, we’ll be going over the process of refilling the air in your pneumatic electric scooter tires so that you can continue riding.
Identify What Kind of Tires You Have
Before you begin refilling your tires, it’s important to identify what kind of tires your electric scooter uses. Not all GOTRAX eScooter tires are air-filled; some GOTRAX eScooters come with solid or honeycomb tires.
Our air-filled tires have an inner tube that contains a valve for refilling the air. If your tire is pneumatic, it should look similar to this:

The motor wheel of a scooter with pneumatic tires will look a little different, but you should still be able to locate the valve cap to access the valve.
Meanwhile, our honeycomb tires contain a pattern of air pockets that resemble a honeycomb-like structure. Since honeycomb tires are airless tires, they cannot be filled with air and will not have a valve. If your tires look something like this, they’re likely honeycomb tires:
How to Refill Your Tires
To refill your tires, you’ll need to connect your tires to an air pump. We recommend using one with a pressure gauge so that you can keep an eye on your tire pressure as you refill the tire. To make things easier, you can also use an air extension hose to attach your tire valve to your air pump - most GOTRAX eScooters come with one of these. Once you have your tire valve attached to the air pump, simply inflate your scooter’s tire to the recommended PSI.
