GOTRAX Extended Warranty Terms & Services

1.1 What is Covered: 

Within 1 year of purchase GOTRAX will repair or replace your Covered Product if you notify us of a hardware failure that occurred during the Coverage Period resulting from:

  • Defects in material or workmanship;
  • Normal wear and tear not caused by improper use (see section 3.1);
  • Internal overheating, internal humidity/condensation;
  • Power surge/fluctuation;
  • Not Charging
  • Motor, motherboard or battery failure due to any of the reasons listed above;

Upon receiving the repaired or replacement product the obligations under the protection plan are considered fulfilled unless otherwise covered by our “No Lemon Policy”

1.2 No Lemon Policy:

After three covered hardware repairs concerning the same defect have been attempted or completed on the same Covered Product during the Coverage Period (including any renewal period) (each, a “Qualified Repair”) and such Covered Product requires a third Qualified Repair, we will replace it with a new device of like kind and quality and of comparable performance, and our obligations under this Plan will have been fulfilled in their entirety.

However, for clearance, open-box, and other Covered Products originally purchased at a discount, we may issue a gift card or voucher for the original discounted purchase price plus tax instead of offering a replacement, which would also fulfill our obligations under the Plan. This No Lemon Benefit shall also be subject to the following:
All No Lemon Policy claims need to be made within 7 days of receiving repaired or refurbished replacement product.

2. Not Covered:

2.1 Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, tears, dents and broken bumpers) that does not otherwise affect or impede its functionality or materially impair its use;

2.3 Theft, misplacement, reckless, abusive, willful or intentional conduct associated with handling and use of the Covered Product;

2.4 Damage caused by accident including but not limited to damage to shelves, bins, knobs, and handles that is not caused by ordinary wear and tear;

2.5 Faulty installation, repair, or maintenance by anyone other than a GOTRAX-authorized service provider;

2.6 Damage to or failure of upgrades or add-on accessories that were purchased separately from the Covered Product (e.g., upgraded battery, non-factory installed components or parts or any additional attachments);

2.7 Extreme environmental conditions (including extreme temperature or humidity) leading to problems such as external condensation and mold;

2.8 Acts of God including lightning, fire, flood, earthquakes and other external causes;

2.9 Use outside of the permitted or intended uses described by the manufacturer; (see section 3)

2.10 Damage caused by contact with any human or animal bodily fluids;

2.11 Damage caused by insect infestation or rodents;

2.12 Covered Products that have been lost or stolen (this Plan only applies to products returned in their entirety);

2.13 If the serial numbers on your Covered Product have been altered, defaced or removed or if you submit a claim for a product having a different serial number than the serial number our records indicate for the Covered Product unless you show that you received a replacement product from the manufacturer under the manufacturer’s warranty;

3. Proper Use:

3.1 Hoverboards and other products damaged by improper use will not be covered by the GOTRAX extended warranty. Examples of improper use are (but not limited to):

  • Riding on unapproved terrain such as; unpaved roads, un-even pavement, sand, snow, rocky ground or other rough or off-road terrain.
  • Riding off of drops, ledges, ramps, jumps, or down stairways.
  • Riding through bodies of water including puddles, gutters, floods, etc.
  • Riding without proper footwear (closed toe shoes)
  • Riders should always wear proper fitting and correctly adjusted helmets and pads.
