Brake Caliper for GOTRAX Apex / GXLV2 / XR / XR Ultra / XR Elite / Rival / GX ZERO/ ARES electric scooters.
The brake caliper is the what brings the brake cable and brake disc together to complete your braking system. The brake caliper uses brake pads to pinch the brake disc until your electric scooter comes to a stop.

A few months ago my rear brakes went out on my gotrax ares after about 400 miles. They're rated to 500 miles, but I also live in Denver, which can be kind of hilly with a lot of stop and go traffic .
Unfortunately gotrax did not have just the brake pads, but the calipers are priced affordably at $15 and are actually easier than replacing the pads. My first time it maybe took me 15 min.
I put another 400 on the scooter, and had to replace them again. This time took me about 7 mins. I also ordered the pads, which are now in stock, and am excited to see how easy the replacement/rebuild will be.
Nice product, easy to install.
I have tried Hover, Segway, Hiboy, but Gotrax checks ALL the boxes: good quality, good customer service, inexpensive parts, easy to repair, good price, reliable and the lightest e-scooter that can handle an adult. Hiboy is great but it is much heavier.
It worked great easy to install. Great product.
