Hoverboard Walkthrough
Gotrax Hoverboard's have been a mainstay product on our website since we started making them in 2017. While we have expanded to Electric Scooters and Electric Bikes, we certainly haven't forgotten about our Hoverboard riders. We are here to help you take care of and trouble shoot your Gotrax Hoverboard.
Making Your Hoverboard Last
Before you start riding your hoverboard be sure to check for anything that appears out of place or damaged.
Keep your hoverboard out of extreme temperatures. Long durations of high heat and direct sunlight can have negative effects on the inner wiring and battery of your hoverboard. Make sure after you have used your hoverboard it is stored in a cool and dry place.
Make sure you do not overcharge your hoverboard. Overcharging can shorten the lifespan of your battery, make it over heat quicker and can result in the battery becoming unusable.
Be aware of where you are riding. Uneven and faulty terrain can cause unnecessary damage to the hoverboard which may not be covered under warranty.
When your hoverboard is getting dirty be sure to use a soft damp cloth to clean. Avoid using harmful chemicals or corrosive solvents as they can damage the outer shell and interior electronics of your hoverboard.
Troubleshooting
One of the most common solutions for hoverboard issues is calibrating your board. Here are the steps involved in hoverboard calibration:
1. Start with the hoverboard powered off.
2. Adjust the foot pedals until they are level with each other and the ground.
3. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. The LED lights will flash.
4. Press the power button to turn off.
5. Press the power button to turn on. The hoverboard will be calibrated and ready to ride. Be sure to wear a helmet!
We hope this troubleshooting guide helped you and you continue to enjoy your GOTRAX Hoverboard.
