Brakes are one of the most critical parts on an electric bicycle. It is imperative to ensure that they are functioning properly at all times to avoid any issues while you ride. That is why we recommend to check your brakes before and after every ride. Now, before or after your ride you may hear a slight squeaking sound coming from one of your brakes. This happens when your brake pad is resting on the disc brake without the brake lever being pressed. Furthermore, you don't want to the brakes to be working against the pedal assist in your electric bike so you can maximize your range.
First, you'll just need a 5mm allen wrench to get started. Then, all you have to do is loosen the brake caliper enough to adjust it's positioning on the disc brake. You're not fully removing the brake caliper by the way, just loosening until it can be moved.
If you're looking from above you should be able to find a spot to see gaps on either side of the disc brake. That is the position your brake caliper should be in! Finally, just tighten the brake caliper in said position and you'll notice you know have a silent wheel. You may have to readjust as time goes on but you just need to go through the steps again and you'll be set.
