The EBE1 Guide - GOTRAX

Troubleshooting your EBE1

Gotrax may be known for it's hoverboards and electric scooters, but our E-Bikes broke into the electric vehicle scene like a lighting storm. Our EBE1 was the first e-bike in our EBE series and we want to make sure our e-bike riders get the most out of their EBE1.

Making your EBE1 Last

Be sure to inspect your bike before and after every ride for damages. This helps to insure you catch any problems quickly to get them solved as fast as possible so you can go back to riding.

The EBE1 is a commuter e-bike. It works best in cities on smooth roads, paths and bike lanes. Taking your EBE1 across adverse terrain may cause damage not covered under warranty. It is important to take care of your e-bike so it can take care of you.

DO NOT use any corrosive solvents or cleaners to clean your e-bike. A soft damp cloth is the best to use if your e-bike needs a wash. DO NOT use a pressure washer to clean your e-bike.

Make sure you do not overcharge the battery on your EBE1. Overcharging can shorten the lifespan of your battery, make it over heat quicker and can result in the battery becoming unusable.

Keep your e-bike out of extreme temperatures. High heat, over 110 degrees, and freezing cold, 0 degrees or below, can have adverse affects on your e-bike's battery and inner-wiring.

If you want to get the most distance out of each charge be sure to use assist mode and avoid zero starting. Frequent braking, driving against the wind, carrying heavy loads including other people and riding with insufficient air pressure can make your battery lose its charge quicker.

Take a Look at the EBE1 User's Manual.

Please be sure you are still under our 90-Day Warranty before you file a claim
