Electric bikes are the perfect way for those of us who aren’t professional cyclists to get out and about on an eco-friendly ride with plenty of speed. Class 2 electric bikes are especially helpful because they offer throttle, a means of getting about without having to pedal. These rides can be a bit too powerful for the sidewalk—depending on the area, it may even be against the rules. So where can you ride instead? Today, we’re going through a list of some of the most useful, convenient, and enjoyable places to ride your class 2 electric bicycle.
Through the City
Class 2 eBikes are actually a fantastic alternative to cars in urban environments. Thanks to the low speed limits of city roads, it’s easy for bikes to move with the pace of motor vehicles—if your city has a dedicated bike lane, bikes can even move faster than cars in heavy traffic at times like morning and evening commutes, plus they're much cheaper to buy and maintain. For riders who like to use their e-bikes to make grocery runs or other cargo-carrying trips, throttle is particularly helpful, as it lets your bike do all the work of hauling your load for you.
On the Trails
If you’re looking to spend some time in nature, then class 2 eBikes are a great way to do so. When you don’t need to focus as hard on pedaling, you have more time to take in your surroundings and enjoy the great outdoors. Trails are the perfect place for bike riders to spend some time in both the sunshine and the shade, and a class 2 eBike only makes your ride easier. Just be sure to stick to trails where your class of eBike is allowed, and always be cautious and courteous when riding around others. Around the Neighborhood
For riders who are just looking to get around the neighborhood, class 2 eBikes are a great option. They take up much less space than a car, and if you don’t need to bring a lot with you, then they’re just as effective, too. If you’re taking a quick trip to a neighbor’s house, heading down to the park, or spending the day at the pool. A class 2 electric bike is the ideal ride.
